Hi! I know with Google Analytics and other stuff like that, you can see where people visit your site from. Is there a way of doing this with blog comments, so you can tell that one comment was made from Canada and another was made from the US? Also, how is the location determined? Is it easy to accidentally spoof?

Location is generally tracked by IP. So if you can capture the IP address of someone commenting and then compare it to a database that maps IPs to location you can figure out where the person is located. It's not 100% accurate, but I think that's the general approach.

The two problems with this approach are that your database could be out of date - Google probably does a good job of managing theirs - and proxy sites. But essentially it's a database lookup against known IP addresses.
