Buy and Sell Advertising Space

I am looking to buy space for a small banner or tect link.
I was wondering what I can expect in the way of traffic?
What has been your experiences with buying links? What % of traffic do you see? How easy has it been for you to convert that traffic?

I just don't want to waste my money if I can put it to better use elsewhere.

Advertising works, yes. As long as you're targeting the correct audience then people will click the banner (make sure it's appealing) it's then upto your product/service to conver the traffic into sales.

yes, also check the daily visits, etc, crowd category, etc.
