I am considering selling a very popular SEO news portal and discussion forum. The site currently bills roughly $900/month in ad revenue but spends roughly $150/month so the net monthly revenue is about $750. I can provide documentation and contact info for each and every client that currently advertises on the site.
I can easily transfer these clients over to you, because most of them are long time clients of mine. The only tricky part would be to transition certain text link packages that combine links from this domain along with links on other domain that I own, but this could easily be remedied.
Some other key facets of this site:
1) It comes with a fully functional article manager that will allow you to create original (and fully optimized) articles on an ongoing basis.
2) It has a very popular vbulletin forum that has a steady stream of traffic and posts.
3) It is indexed in Google News and ranks extremely well in this news engine as well as the major search engines in general
I'm rather familiar with valuating companies (for the purposes of investing, etc...). Based on a detailed valuation method that is commonly used for valuating companies or property (deemed the "Capitalized Earnings Method") this site earns roughly $9,000 per year in profit. It's a fairly safe investment but does have some inherent risks, so the rate of capitalization should be roughly 20% (meaning you should expect to get a 20% rate of return...as compared to lets say a 2% rate of return on a much more “safe” CD at your local bank).
At a 20% capitalization rate it would take an investment of $45,000 to purchase this domain, and in turn, you would then begin to make a $9000 or 20% (based on the current figures) return on your initial investment each year. Obviously, you can tap into other revenue streams (affiliates, CPM advertising, Adsense, etc…).
In addition, my partner and I would be happy to stay on for an extended period of time to help insure a smooth transition.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the resources and knowledge to develop this into a major portal.
Serious inquiries should be submitted via PM...
