LOL! I hope you are joking, LOL! Thats the funniest thing I've ever heard! $400 for a text link! I get 50-60k uniques, and I charge $15 for a banner (on every page).

$400 is a little insane for a text link, I generally charge $3-5 a month with 350,000 page views

First of all guys I must say that your comments were so childish.

His site is well optimized and has PR6.
guyute you might be charging $3 to $5 per link monthly but I charge higher than yours. So i don't believe it's about how much you charge or your opinions about his offer.

You make a site and it's your site . You're free to charge people who want to advertise. You tell the price they have the right to accept or deny it.

Also I see he too many pages with Google PR .
I wonder if most of you know the importance of it.

Let me tell you : A link on PR6 site with too many indexed sub pages means $ . You advertise and if you're clever you would already know how to make money from that advertisement.

I remember the days when I provided people banner rotations for just a small text link. Guess what . I'm making over $1500 per month from text links.

This is called business.

I agree with onlyPhP...
ROS means "run of site", which also means that text link will be on thousands of PR pages. I would bet that if your link is on every page, your PR will go up to a 6 also, in addition to the traffic you will undoubtedly receive.

Some people will never understand what business means and will never learn how to respect others' jobs.

What about your hosting company Colorteck ?

A hosting company trying to make money from Affiliate programs through his hosting company site ?
For example you . Eh ? Is this professional type of business ?

Reliable and Affordable Hosting company's monthly expenses are covered by an Affiliate Program like Template Monster ?

I think Webmaster Talk mods should take care of this .

Nope not trying to make money with the templates. Giving my clients and oppurtunity to get templates for there sites after numerous emails asking where to get templates. I make my money on web hosting not templates.

So why you got to pick on me fool

I happen to run a very good hosting company and do not need you talking about us!!!!

Oh and as far as some people not knowing how to run a business. I have another business that has an average $500,000 a year gross.

So I believe I am qualified in what I am doing. web hosting is a business but I look at it as a hobby and give my customers the same respect and service as my other business.

Maybe you're right maybe not ?

Also for a person who makes $500.000 / year from a business $400 shouldn't make too much sense eh ?

My discussion here ends.

never said he could not charge $400. I just said wow that is expensive when I pay about $30 a month on most sites that have the same pr and traffic. Plus I pay $100 a month on a site that has more traffic and pr. So he is free to charge what he wants but I can post my opinion because I advertise all the time and know what is expensive and what is not.

yeah I never said he couldn't charge $400 either. Just that asking $400 is insane. why would a person who has $400 to spend use that $400 for text links on a site getting 58k hits? I don't care how targeted you are or what your page rank is why would a person spend $400 and possibly not get a single hit from it, when they could go to google and spend $400 and be 100% sure they'll get at least 1600 or so hits to their page. Granted there is a VERY slim change you might get more then that from the page, but in the grand scheme of things if people are going to take that change they aren't going to be around very long

Well... I think the issue is the price was also $400/month when his site was PR7. Seems like he should lower the price if his sites lost PR.

This thread has gotten informative.
Let me ask this, how much should I charge for text links on PR4 and PR5 pages.
And also...does it matter too much if the content is related and/or will it hurt my rankings for those pages (SE traffic).
I am ready to rent out some text links but want to make sure I ask for the right price!

I have sold PR4 home page links for up to $13/month. PR4 inner pages are worth about $2 dollars per month.

A PR5 is worth $15 per month. Home page links may be worth a little more but.

To settle the dispute on the above page.
I just bought run of site on two PR6 sites for $40.00 per month.

I have two PR5 sites and my selling price is $15/month for home page.

Honestly, I wouldn't pay $400/month for PR6
But if you've ever seen a fat chick hunt for soldiers in a bar you'll know that there is alway a taker especially they are on a whaling mission. Honestly not more than $225
You can get PR8s for $200 sometimes.

Go to http://www.linkadage.com You might find a taker.

I just read an article that says selling run of site text links is a good way to get you banned on Google.

If you are a smart shopper you will find the best deal. Period.

Just a side note here. I am fixing to purchase ad space on a pr 9 for $500 so this will give you an example as this site gets tons of traffic and actually is very cheap for a pr9.

First of all : Yes, selling Page Rank is against Google terms and is a Good reason to get banned.

But there are two difference sale types . One is ,
Example :
I'm selling text links on my Page Rank 6 site for $xx

And the other is :
I'm selling text links on my website . It receives xxx unique visitors / hits etc. And it has a PR5

The first one is directly selling PR links and the second is telling about the importance of the site. The first one will get your site banned from Google but the second will not . It's because , as i mentioned, you're proving your site's importance.

That's what I know is.

The price depends on your site. The inner pages / will it be home page link or inner pages are included ? / Outbound links on your website(this is important)

For example while people are selling links on a PR6 sites for $30 - $40 I sell it for $8 - $10 because I own many sites with PR6 and it's a great profit for me.

As webspace mentioned : If you're a smart shopper you'll find the best deal. I'd suggest you try www.linkadage.com as webspace said.

Best of luck ,
Umut Kale

(please correct me if there is something I said)
