Hi,
i have just set up a webhosting site, and i would like to place some ads on it to help pay for costs.

the site is http://dansgalaxy.co.uk

i have never done ads before, so im new [yea that means you can all proballly take advantage and rip me off!]

anyway, someone make me a offer of what ad they would like to put on it, where, (a link to the ad would be appriciated) and of course how much you pay.

Also payment must be done through my paypal.

Dan you can try the Text Link Ads Calculator and see what the guys from TLA think. They are in the business of selling text link ads.

With Text Link Ads? I haven't used them myself, but I am thinking of it. I've only heard good things about them and I'd recommend their services based only on what I've heard about them.

Throwing this out for your consideration.

When I see a hosting site with ads on it I tend to think business must not be too good. IMO there are very few "business sales" sites where I think they are okay.

okay, i understand i was more thinging of just having plain text links under my footer...

also i am thinking if having a small free account with some forced ads.

How would i do this?
the sort of thing cjb.net does

a script which forces a add/popup to appear on everypage in a certain directory or account?

anyone please?

I hate to keep raining on your parade but that business model is way overdone.

Now to be more positive you might consider giving out a few small accounts in exchange for a "hosted by" on all the pages of their site. Done selectly this migh get you some traffic and build your SERP.

Forced ads has a whole different meaning. Think Geo-cities here. That process is also pretty involved to set up. And like I said very much overdone.

Trading for a link to your site may help you a lot if the sites you free host are in the same demographic group as the people you are tryng to sell.

Have you thought about your target market? Are you going for cheap? Quality? There are an awful lot of hosts who target cheap. Most of them don't make it.
