If you are to look at www.nexon.net, look at the two notice boards. I was wondering if anyone knew of any forum scripts that are similar to that, that show a little gif image if the post is new.

just about all forum scripts can change the message icon when there are new posts/threads

Invi is the best followed by the Vbulletin used on digitalpoint.

VBulletin is good from paid ones.
PHPBB can be tried. I have heard a lot of good things of them.

PHPBB is very good functionwise. However, PHPBB forum is very very easy to be spammed.
