This may not be appropriate for this forum, but it was the best place on the site I could find, and does have to do with coding. I'm making a site for webmasters with stuff from domain registration to hosting to marketing...

I also plan to offer tools. I'll have links to sites with thousands of tools (please let me know any good ones), but I want to offer on my site the best of the best- I've never liked the huge selections and not knowing which tools to choose.

If anyone would like to tell me their favorite basic tools, I'd appreciate it (things like favorite services for polls, message boards, guestbooks, and other things people may want).

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I've always used and still reccommend Sitemeter for counters/trackers. Even though I now have full stats from my host and my own PHP script to do visitor tracking, I still use Sitemeter for my overall visitor numbers.

i actually use sitemeter on most of my sites too although the stats arent as detailed as my hosts - it is quicker to check them up
