Hi guys. A drop shipping program I use gives us access to an XML file that contains all the products they carry plus prod numbers, link to product, link to image, price, picture etc.

What I need to find is a program (preferrably freeware) that i can use to create lots of html files from the xml data. Id like to be able to write a template page and include variables in the template that simply insert the corresponding xml field into the source code whereever i use the variable.

I have tried looking into xml, xsl, xslt but all I have learned so far is that my head hurts. Any suggestions for a proggy would help alot

you'll need a parser i think... do you know php or perl or another scripting language? if "yes" then you may write your own...

Unfortunately, XSL is what you will need to learn. Because XML is simply data with no particular presentation structure, an XSL script will be required to parse the XML and determine how the data will be presented.

You will have a difficult time finding a free, all-purpose XSL file that converts XML to HTML because of the dynamic nature of both markup languages and the structure of the data in question.
