Basically, there is a site that has a daily comic strip. I want to know if it would be possible to get a copy of that comic strip on my site. And when it's updated on its original site, then mine would get update as well without having to do anything.

Instead of worrying whether or not it can be done, you might want to worry about whether or not it's legal. You would first need permission from the site owner to do this, otherwise, it's called stealing.

I second that, even if it was legal, hotlinking (linking directly to files on someone else's server) is a real piss off because it sucks up bandwidth from that server. Contact the site owner and see if you can work something out.
