Hi jheerkens,

I'm not sure what you mean, exactly, but it sounds like you're looking for URL cloaking? In other words, no matter which page someone visits on your site, it will always show up in the address bar as www.webmaster-planet.com. If this is what you are looking for, you can do what most free URL redirection services do. Simply use a 100% frame and put all your content under it.

yeah url cloaking is what you mean though i dont see any benefit for that at all unless your site is hosted on a free server or something like www.cjb.net

yes, url cloaking is exactly what I mean. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll think about it. And I understand you Fonz, but my page names cover a large number of directories and that makes the address so long and I do not like that.

i did a couple searches and came out with this link and a script, check em both out.

http://www.hotscripts.com/search/?bo...g&category=all

script
-------
<HEAD>

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
<!-- Begin
function url() {
hidden = open('http://JS.comJS','NewWindow','top=0,left=0,width=1020,hei ght=710,status=no,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes');
}

// End -->
</script>

</HEAD>

<!-- STEP TWO: Copy this code into the BODY of your HTML document -->

<BODY>

<a href="javascript:url()">Protected Link</a> |
<a href="http://JS.com JS">Unprotected Link</a>
<br>
<br>

yeah i noticed that on your site though personally i dont see that as a problem, in my opinion that would be better than cloaking - another thing is that your visitors cannot reference a specific page - they can only bookmark your home page

I agree with fonzerelli_79. I see no problem with the long sub-URL's. I would benefit you greatly to leave it as is so visitors can bookmark and have an easier time navigating.

You have another option. You could use frames, and your frameset would include only 1 frame at 100%. Then call the page you want to display as the frame source.
Like this:
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>your title</TITLE></HEAD>
<frameset framespacing="0" border="0" rows="1,100%" frameborder="0">
<frame name="header" scrolling="no" noresize target="main" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">
<frame name="main" src="http://www.yoursite.com" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="auto">
You'd probably want to include a <noframes> option as well.
