Hello,

I don't know if this topic fits in here, but I am trying to make a references program for my webpage and I have no idea how to. I want people to be able to link to my page with a banner and refID, so I know who linked new customers.

Thank you for your help,

Svenler

We would need more information to really help but to begin you will need to setup a database with a list of all the refID's. Then, depending on the project, you would need another table for the customers with a refID field.

Svenler,

In most instances that I have seen this practice, the site (you) has taken the initiative to build a number of different graphical banners, depending on the purpose and message to be conveyed. Below each of the banners is the HTML markup to be cut and pasted by the webmaster to be included on his own site. Normally the source of the image is your own webserver so they don't have to bother with copying the image to their own webserver and provides you the flexibility of changing it if and when you need to.
