Hey there. I was wondering how can I include one of those little counter things that will tell peaople how many times one of my programs has been downloaded. Yuo know what I mean... underneath a link to download something it says something like "downloaded: x ammount of times".

Please tell me how I can do this, but, my server only supports CGI, nothing else, no MySQL, no PHP, nothing.

Is it still possible?

You can use Perl to write to a file. I don't know Perl too much, so that's all I can say.

The easiest I think would be with php...Just create a query string to each download with say http://myurl.com/?download=file1. And have this call the file up while incrementing the counter by one for that file.
