Ok, so I have this template im using...editable regions defined, non-editable not-defined (im assuming that DW figures whatever is outside of the designated editable region, is not editable.)
This is my process....open the template...get the content...replace templates content with new content...go file---> save as newpage.htm.
Now, Im looking at this other template, and the pages that use it, and on the pages that use it, there is a tag at the top like this :
<!-- InstanceBegin template="/public_htm/Templates/index_template.dwt" codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" -->
as well as an instance end tag at the bottom....as well, all the coding inside the non-editable regions is greyed out...ok so this is a "working" template...
However, when im doing what I mentioned above...the pages are not getting a similar tag, and the non-editable regions are not greyed out...
Ive already done many pages using the method i described, and im just noticing now that non of them "seem" to be linked to my original template...what am I doing wrong??
Please help....can i still link all the pages I have done to that template?
Am I doing something wrong in teh save process?
