I have designd a new site and need to set up the formmail, my previous one was done with Frontpage which I am no longer using (now using DW).

I am hosted with 123-reg who sugested getting a script from "Matts Script Archive" which I have done (from here http://www.scriptarchive.com/) its the formmail script top left.

I hve no idea what I am supposed to do with it, have altered the stuff I need to so that it will work with 123-reg - but they go on about file permissions etc, can anyone help or at least suggest a decent site for leaning the basics (whithout having to learn a load of coding) I have just learn't CSS which caused me some headaches and could do without learning anything else, just want me form to work!

CSS shouldn't affect it. Basically, you'll need to set your form up so it'll use the formmail script, and then make sure the formmail script has the permissions it needs to run. Usually this means setting the form's action parameter to point at the script, and then setting up some hidden fields to tell it what to do. To change the scripts permissions, you can do it from your FTP program or on the command line - they probably have to be "755" - or make sure that the "execute" box is checked for all the options.

Your host should be able to help you set it all up - it must be something they encounter a lot if they're hosting any number of sites.

You should also ensure to use the fixed version of MSA's formmailer, if there is one (I think it isn't maintained actively since years).

I can remember that one of the last versions were quite buggy and even allowed everybody using it to send form submissions from your server.
