How do I do a simple session cookie? What I have is an alert that pop ups when a visitor gets to the site. I don't want this alert to pop up every time they go back to the main page. Just the first time. How do i set a session cookie so that it only displays once?

I've looked at some javascript, but I don't really understand them, and can't get them to work right. I've done a search of the forum and found nothing helpful either..

I had no idea it was so complex! I guess for now I'll just cut and paste and experiment.. my pop-up box is actually just a javascript alert rather then a seperate html file. I'll have to experiment with the code to allow for this... Thanks for the link!
