I have been doing a lot of learning lately and am faily clued up with most of the stuff I need to know (other than the php that is),

I want to get some books to expand my knowledge (not virtual but paper) -there are tons to choose from but I only want a maximum of 2 for each subject. Can anyone recomend 1 or 2 books for the following...

Dreamweaver CS3 (and HTML)

CSS

PHP (I did have a book recomended for this but cant find the post where it was mentioned )

Thanks in advance

Larry Ullman has some good PHP books. One you might want to check out is called PHP and MySQL For Dynamic Websites.

I wouldn't recommend buying a book on Dreamweaver. I think you might find that you prefer plain text editing over a WYSIWYG editor as you get deeper into coding.

It depends on how you learn. I've always found it helpful to have a book to jump-start the learning juices if I'm taking on something new. Once I understand a subject better, Google and web resources are great references.

Part of the reason I like books is that paper is much easier to read than a webpage.
