I am downloading zip files from a public ftp server using flash fxp pro and I want to filter out the contents of zip files so that I don't download movie files that exist inside zip files...It's ok to download the zip files, but just not any movies that are inside the zip files. How can that be accomplished?

Thanks again!

Yep, remove all the video formats from the zip files on the remote server. Another words in a standard filter using flash fxp you just tell the program what extensions you want to skip (not download) and it will not download them, but I need it to avoid downloading the movies that are contained inside the zip.

avi
mpg
mpeg
mp4
asf
mov
wmv...All the popular formats...

Note: I don't know all the possible movie formats that the zip files will contain, so if there's a 'universal' way to determine if the zip contains a popular movie format (such as the one's I listed), then delete it.

Oh yeah before I forget, I didn't want this to be a server side script, I want to apply this into the program FlashFXP Directly.

Thanks again!

On the same topic, would it be possible to just download certain sub-folders? For example if I had the names of the folders that I wanted to download could I get those only? I have 20 main folders, but in each of those 'top level' folders there's quite a bit of sub-folders that I have to go thru to get the one's I need. I want to download only these particular sub-folders (with the files). These folders (that I want) exist under each of the 20 main folders.

Hope you understand

I'm rapidly running out of disk space and I am going to need to get rid of files in mass quantity, so instead of deleting them from the server, how about a batch file that erases all avi files from inside the zip files (locally off my hard drive)? The batch file needs to search all sub-directories not just the current directory.

Thanks again!
