I`ve searched and searched and about the closest thing i can find are thick volumes obviously written for Apache administrators.

Considering the wide range of things that are possible to do with .htaccess I would imagine there must be some PROFESSIONALLY written tutorial books out there somewhere. Of course there are lots of tutes and YouTube instruction videos on the web but they are not always the most complete or best quality.

Can someone suggest a book to get started with learning .htaccess?

The book mentioned might be a bit overkill for me I think.
I dont need to know the more arcane details of web server administration but the two links are very handy indeed.
