HI,
I got visittors to my page
without
1.) IP
2.) Agent
3.)URI

can anybody explain that to me.

I understand that some webwasher come with no IP.

My page is getting hit with IP but no AGnet, Uri like

"www/scripts/..%255c../winnt/system32/cmd.exe?/c+dir"

Which visitors I could send away?

Thanks a lot and kind regards
Jack

You can not get visitors without IP. Check your server configuration and updates if you see visitors without IP addresses.

Request you shown is standard Code Red worm attack (or one of it's clones). User agent and referer fields are optional in HTTP, so you can easy get HTTP queries without refere and agent. Do not worry about such requests (if you are using IIS, I hope that you already decided to change it to Apache )

Thanks a lot, that helped, I think in this case I have an error in my getIP() routine where I try to get the real Ip when behind a Proxy.

But who is coming to my site without this information, should I not just send them to Niravana?
Thanks & Kindest regards

Hi you can get the IP address as it is needed to communicate with the server but other things such as referrer can be masked, I mask all the websites I have been to so the only info you could get about me is my ip address. And I am afraid there is no way you can stop that, if you need info such as referrer as some sites do I would suggest informing them of this as they can turn it off for your site. I wouldnt refer people because they are masking their info because they could be hackers but they could also be ligitimate peple such as my self who just dont want any old website to find out info about you.
