I know this may seem like a vague question. But I wanted to know how I would go about creating a web community. Basically a blog and integrate it seamlessly into my homepage. I want to be able to easily make posts and have people be able to make comments, as well as a section where people can make their own posts. I've never dealt with blogging before but I would say I have a good amount of overall computer knowledge and I'm very familiar with HTML and CSS. I just need a finger pointing in the right direction and a few words of advice.


EDIT: If anyone is confused by my wording, I want to do something similar (or pretty much just like) the interface they have at bloodyelbow.com.

I would head to WordPress.com (or, if you prefer, BlogSpot.com), open a free account, make a few posts (they don't have to be in depth), and play with some of the blog platforms that are already written. WP can be downloaded and installed onto your own server, and modified at will, so it's probably a good starting point.
