Hey guys I am know a little Flash, but I am not competent enough to make something on my own (yet).

That having been said do you all know of a good, simple flash slideshow script?

Just something that plays the images, switches every few seconds, and has a back - play/pause - forward buttons. I don't even really need to have any transitions either save for like a fade to black kinda thing.

Any ideas?

I'm sure there are more out there than I care to count. Just look around and you'll find one that meets your needs.

With a such a simple transition needed, I would never use Flash for the slideshow. Even for more complex ones, I would rather use a JavaScript system, because it means real images and HTML content.

Like the others said, there are dozens of free things available, I don't see why you'd have a problem finding one.

I have to agree with wayfarer. I think too many people jump for flash because they think it makes their site nice and shiny, when it often times makes for longer load times, slower navigation, and a cumbersome UI. Of course in the correct situations and if implemented correctly this may not be the case. I'd still stick with javascript when it is appropriate.
