i might as well ask you about this other thing too, even though i'm sure this one won't be nearly as easy. if i wanted to program a "test" like the one on www.politicalcompass.org (direct link to "quiz" is http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/poli...aire.pl?page=1 )

how would i even start to go about it, if it's even reasonably possible for someone who isn't an expert in scripting to do?

I split this post from your original thread as it is a totally different subject matter and will get more responses on its own.

As for some type test/quiz/poll like on that site, you will need to turn to a scripting language for form processing. If you don't know much of any scripting language, you can find ready-made poll and quiz scripts at http://www.hotscripts.com

Typically, these are setup to where you don't really need much experience. Many of them only require you to edit a single config file. Of course, there are many members here that can help you if you get stuck also.

alright, i've browsed through hotscripts yesterday and today for a while, and there's plenty available...almost too much. what should i try to use, PHP, CGI, etc? i'm nto sure what would be the best balance between easiest and most versatile.

any specific scripts that might be best for what i'm trying to do?
