Please could somebody help me in regards to building a domain search box on my web page. Let me explain..I recently purchased a reseller account from one of the big names within the domain and hosting market (No plug) and after customizing their white labeled site I decided I wanted my own landing page instead of there's. I have built most of it already but I need to build a domain search box that allows the user to type in a domain name, select their preferred TLD and click enter which takes the user to my reseller site with the results of their search.
I have seen this on another resellers site so I know it's possible but my knowledge of code is really limited to html and css. I looked at the other resellers source code to see if he was using an api but I couldn't see evidence of this. it looked like the code for a form within a table and possibly some javascript.
If anybody here could tell me how to do this or even point me in the direction of a good tutorial I would be extremely grateful. As I said my coding is limited to html and css so please bare this in mind when explaining. Saying that, I not stupid so long as it's explained to me I can pretty much get my head around anything. (so long as its explained). I would really appreciate any help or advice. thanks
