Hey Im starting a company that creates websites, and I want my customrs to have a 30-day money back guarantee, but I dont want them to purchase from me, then I send them their website and they get their money back then Im out a website. So I was wonder(Im really bad at SQL) if there is a script that I can enter into the pages that says for example if find Account Number then end, if not find Account Number then redirect url, then redirects to my site. Sorry if its confusing. Like for each customer, I would give them a unique code, and if the canceled their order, I would delete their code or account number from my database, so their website would not work anymore. Thanks:P

There are a few things wrong with that approach.

What is to prevent the customer from editing or removing the code that breaks their site in the case that you delete the code? Sure you can obscure the code, but personally I wouldn't pay for a site containing obscured code.

If you did implement this, it would make your customers site depended on a remote database. In order for their site to cease functioning when the code is deleted, it is going to have to connect to a remote server and check if the code exists. What if for whatever reason you take down your database or it becomes unavailable? their site will go down as well.

I think the best thing you can do in this case is to demo the site before they purchase it. You can then offer to make modifications for up to 30 days after the purchase.

This is a bit off topic, but when you say you are going to create websites, do you mean the design or do you plan to do programming and database work as well? Just to caution you, and I don't mean to offend, but a person who is 'really bad at SQL' shouldn't be charging people for services involving SQL.

No Im not taking it the wrong way. I can make nice sites(that I think are) but I jsut dont want to put effort into a site, then they want their refund. Like Im not going to scam, I want good reviews, but is there some kind of script, that doesnt seem obscure?

The only good option I can think of if you must have a 30 day guarantee is to do your own hosting. After 30 days you give them the keys or allow them to change hosts. They don't actually get to see any of the server-side code or anything else until the guarantee has expired.

The other good option is just to not offer a 30 day money back guarantee.
