Hello

I got a flash template and I've been editing it with adobe flash cs3 but there are some things I don't know how to edit. I would really like some help learning how to make these changes.

1. Linking
I don't understand how to work with links. I know I have to edit the action script but I could use some examples of what the link code looks like.

2. Adding Images
The template uses the same image in a few different places. When I change the image to the one I want it changes all of them. I know where to make the changes to point to new images but how do I create new bitmaps to import my images to?

3. Text Boxes
The template has a few "read more" buttons that open a text box that has a scroll bar. They all link to the same text box. How do I create different ones?

4. Scroll Bars
There are a few places that have scroll bars. The image gallery and two text boxes. They are all in the same movie clip. How to I add more scroll bars to the page?

5. Text Shadowing
The text used in the nav bar is gold with a black shadow or outline around it. One file uses black text and one uses white text to create the effect. I was able to change the text without problems but I needed to add another text box to the same file and on the new text the white is not showing up. So instead of having gold text with a black outline I just have black text. I changed the color to match the gold but without the black outline it doesn't look good. Any idea what that's called or where I can research how to fix it?

Hello, I dont know if many people will just give up the answers to those questions. I myself have begun to work with Flash CS3. I have video training from learnflash.com as well as some ebooks and misc tutorials. It doesnt seem that hard to learn, you just have to understand how it works. Do you have your template up online yet? Also, where did you get it from? I may be able to take a look at it and guide you in the right direction, as I said I'm still a rookie at flash, but I have been working with it. If you would rather pm me links or what not that works to. Hopefully I can give you a hand.
