I'm looking to basically put a salesman on one of my websites but I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it. I need flash video with a transparent background or something like that but don't know how to do it.

I really like how they do it on servicemagic.com

Anyone have some experience with this?

Thanks

It depends on what color your webpage background is. For example: If you have a white background, all you need to do is create your flv on a white background for it to be transparent. However, if you are using a graphic background (or something that is NOT a solid fill color), you are entering a bit more of a complicated scenerio. To solve that, you will need to record your video first against a colored screen (Blue or Green screen) to isolate your subject, then you need to upload to your pc and convert to flv format once it's on your pc, you can use video editing software to put your web page background on that video since the original video shoot was on a solid color filled background screen.

Esentially, to do what you want, you do exactly as you would when you make a transparent gif image for your website, only if you want it on a custom background (image back or gradient or whatever) then you will need to record (if it's a movie) or create it on a solid filled background, then import the new video with the solid background, and then replace the blue or green screen background with an image of your choice, it's easily done with special software... GOOGLE IT

Hope that helps.
