Hey There,

I'm somewhat new to web-development and wanted to ask in what order should I learn these languages?

Should it be:

1. (x)HTML
2. CSS
3. PHP/MySQL
4. Javascript

or

1. (x)HTML
2. CSS
3. Javascript
4. PHP/MySQL

Any insight or other suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'd learn (x)html first then css. the javascript and php/myql will depend on which you'll have need of more. They'll also take a lot longer to really learn so you'll probably bounce back and forth between the two.

I'd also say that is a more dynamic than a linear process as you will probably need one more than the others at any given time. (X)HTML and CSS are certainly basic but not too hard to grasp either.

Gotchya'! It seems though, from browsing the classifieds, that PHP looks to be more in demand? But I do see the need for Javascript here-and-there as well.

If you had to choose though, to devote more time to one, which one would it be? PHP or Javascript? Thanks by the way for your reply!
