I would like to make a website that is fully functional but can only be reached by computers on my network. I would like it to have a search feature. How would I do that? When I try to, it wont work. It wants to be put online, but I want it to reach my external hard drive. Any websites that you know of that would help me?

Industry standards are IIS which already comes along with some Windows OS installations and Apache which is part of many Linux distros can be downloaded and installed, or you can download it from http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi or as a package with MySql & PHP from http://www.wampserver.com/en/ for example.
