Hi.
Noob here.

Basically.
I'm trying to install an XSLT processor onto my server, through cPanel.

Now... I understand that this is done with CGI scripts, right?

Well.. I've never used one and would have no idea how to use one.
I understand they go in the /cgi-bin/ folder.
But don't understand what they should look like; file extension, contents and so on.

Soo... What do I do?
Also, would I need some kind of thingy uploaded to my server for it to install from ?

Thanks peeps.

It can, or if you have a system side language at disposal (.net, php, jsp...) you can use the function they embed.

For PHP 5, for example: http://www.php.net/manual/en/xsl.examples.php

Erm... How?

Well I found a guide which is long and more about the same kind of struggle I have, but I think it might be the solution I need, short of the PHP script at the end.

Does this look right?
I'm trying to install LibXSLT or Sablotron basically.

The first thing to know is whether or not you have a server side language at disposal.

In the case you do, and it is PHP, the link I gave you in the previous post show you how to load your xml and xslt documents and apply the transformation.

I even wrote on my blog a step by step howto transform an xml rss feed to html using xslt:
