Images can be uploaded with news items to the site I am currently re-working. They are then attached above the article. This causes problems with the layout though when the images are too wide - what do I need to do to the code so it will be able to check the actual dimensions of images submitted and not accept it, or perhaps resize it and possibly link it to the full image.

Anyone have any idea how to do this?

Nobody knows?? They use it on loads of sites, I see it all the time "your image must not be bigger than such and such pixels" and it can check how big it is...
