I would like your help regarding a sudden turn for the worse with a project i've been working on.
I had to develop a secure extranet site for a client and my Boss hired a contractor to deal with the logging on process which was developed in JavaScript, Tomcat and Ant, none of which I had used before but once he got the login database set up in SQL server I was able to continue from there. I have full control over passwords, usernames and what they can and cannot view on this extranet site, it was all very sound and I was very comfortable working with what has already been set up. However I have now been told the client wants a direct link from their secure intranet site to the extranet site we developed. I have decided the best way to do this is with an embedded username and password but I have never done this before so i'd like as much help as possible. I was hoping it would be as easy as it is for an ftp site ftp://user assword@mysite.com but alas no. Can anyone offer me any advice on getting this task completed, it is all that stands between me and putting this project behind me !!
