The best suggestion or advice that I can give it to you is that try to analyze what was the best language you want to learn and code with. In my case I find PHP is worth to learn and to build website.

I think both has their own quality and bottlenecks. Since i am working on PHP thats why i am preferring PHP and I think now these day its the booming language for server side programming in web development

"These days" says it all. The art is not in what you learn. It's being able to.

There are many languages here these are all important and are used according to the requirement.but Javascript is an incredibly important language for web development.Whereas from Ruby and Php ,i would prefer PHP.

The best language is:
1. What runs on your server.
2. What you know or can learn.
3. What is most efficient to your needs.
