hi, does anyone know of a simple script where people can post simple comments under a particular catagory on the site, and can make catagories (eg add their town), search for the "town" , and any comment posted under a particular catagory are compiled to make one big "list" , and can like all comments or compiled list on facebook.

or a script similar to what im descriping if you understand what i mean, which i can modify

So far, there is not a single script which can satisfy your needs.You have to develop your own script by hiring some programmers or coders.

oh im sure theres gotta be a script similar to what im asking somewhere on the web . . .

I bet you could do it with Wordpress - there are a lot of themes that don't work exactly the way you describe, but would achieve the same purpose if you're looking to make some sort of city guide. Might take some customizations, but Wordpress developers are usually relatively inexpensive compared to someone writing it from scratch.

http://wordpress.org/ and look.

Take a look in Wordpress or Joomla. If any one of these fulfill your requirements then go with that. Otherwise best solution is too hire some coder who will design your desired script for you.

Although your requirments are not clear but i think you are thinking for a cms system. Just search for any opensource free cms
