Ok, here we go. Trying to understand how to creat the link between my website and the automated credit card processor(LinkPoint Central), so that visitors can order my stuff. In their examples of how to do this they tell me to use one of the following languages:

C++
C#
COM Object technology (allows you to develop in Visual Basic, VBScript, or ASP)
PHP
PERL®
JavaTM
Macromedia® ColdFusion®
.NET

They recieve their data and their API software converts it to XML. I have written them an Email and got more confusing results. Basically my question is, how do i create this link, the only language i know is HTML. I have tried learning the others through online tutorials, and i cannot understand where the coding goes and how the info submitted on my order form gets to one of these "web applications" am i completely lost or am i on the right track. Any help, would be greatfully appreciated.

Hey,

Normally API systems use "server-side" languages to send a http post to their server. The server then posts a return to your script. Could you please post the example PHP script they gave you?? We will try to edit it for you.

Before you go about messing with PHP, you'll probably want to check that your web hot supports it. You may find you're on Microsoft hosting, in which case you'll need to use something like ASP or ASP.NET
