Can someone help me please. I am new to this as you can tell should i use apache server with windows 2000 advanced server i also want to use PHP & MySql can i use this with win 2k adv

yea you can. i use winXP and i set up my own home server. I got a tutorial though, very helpful, ill look for the link.

Did you by any chance come across that tutorial regarding "setting up a server" that you mentioned in a couple of posts?

If so, would you mind posting its website location?

Personally I'd set up a Linux server for that. If you go for RedHat or Mandrake (which I use) all you need is to select the packages during the Installation and it works fine without any configuring.

Under Windows it's not that hard either, I did that last year and as far as I can remember both, the Apache and the MySQL package came with a quite good installation-manual.
