i use paypal and the paypal checkout system, mainly because it is also links to my ebay account, and i understand there are betting payment systems, but

our website sells plans (e-books in .pdf) for building rec room things such as poker tables etc.

does anyone know if there is a way to allow the user to be directed to the download after payment has been made.
In paypal you can designate a specific url they are directed after payment but this url appears in the html code on the products page therefore people can check out the source and go straight to the download page. i currently just email the download page to the buyers after purchase but i want to make it more automated without the use of email (auto responders)

thanks, sorry if this is confusing

I'd be interested in this script as well. I have a couple of questions...

1. Can the script be integrated with a payment processor like PayPal?
2. How about security, ie: will the download location be easily hacked?

I use paypal for taking payment for the ebooks I sell. When I create a "buy now" button I click on "add more options" which then gives me the opportunity to encrypt the code.

This way if someone right clicks and views my source they will not be able to determine the successful url destination.

Also, there are some fairly simple scripts available to disable right clicking on your web page in the first place.

I seem to remember PayPal has a facility called 'Post Back' or something in which PayPall makes a call to your site with payment details, once the payment is sucessfull. This prevents a user from tricking your site into thinking they've paid, when in fact they havn't. Not sure if it could be used in your case... but you might want to check it out.
