Hi,

I need help in my latest assignment. I want to set up Tomcat and programme my JSP assignment on my computer using JBuilder. Installed both softwares but how do I make them work together?

They don't necessarily. JBuilder is the JAVA IDE on which you build your Java code and JSP scripts. Use JBuilder to compile your classes and debug the business logic. The manner in which you deploy the JSP and *.class files in the Tomcat infrastructure (directories) determines the functionality of the web app.

In general, for the sake of good design, you should seperate things into tiers like Krynt said. However, if you are just using JSPs without any other objects or anything, you can basically just create/edit the JSP in any editor and when you hit the JSP in a browser, Tomcat/Java will take care of compiling the JSP.
