When you have to configure a perl file that is too large for notepad, what do you use? I am especially thinking of DADA Mail. I usually change the .pm to .txt to open but I think that may be corrupting the files as I open in Dreamweaver.

Any suggestions appreciated.

I use EditPlus (which does all of the major languages and has support for addons).

There are plenty of free ones available for download.

Textpad also is an editor that supports syntax highlighting for Perl and a wealth of other languages and formats.

I use UltraEdit-32 which also features what Kyrnt is describing about Textpad.

I use Source Edit. Works great for most everything.
