When I have gone to other forums asking my question i posted in the other thread, they always say "we dont know, but BTW, you cant do cascading menus in dreamweaver" They told me, that they take to long for dialup users to load, and thats with only 1 item in the menu, and that they are not editable. They did, however, give me links on how to do it another way. Which I don't understand and I thought I could try to figure it out later. I figured out I could edit them if its a html file. then i need to resave it ina php file. Thats when they become uneditable... so the solution is, I just dont throw away the html file. I just do it there first.

However, last night I posted my website at a (non webtalk) message board, asking for the dailup people to tell me how long it takes to load. They told me it ranged from 15-30 seconds. Ideally i would like it to be faster, but is that really all that bad for the entire webpage to load? I mean for dialup? I am not being starcastic, I am really wondering if doing this another way could really make it faster?

the site is http://www.kidchicago.com

It depends on who the site is aiming at, and where you hope for your traffic to come from.

For example, if you are hoping for search engine traffic be aware that people may spend a very short amount of time on your site - the back button on the browser is always used. If however people are typing the URL into their browser they will be more likely to stay for a bit longer - presumably because they are wanting to visit the site, rather than looking for content.

I dont think the website is really slow and with more and more people switching to faster connections you could argue that the site is fine.....

Personally I would keep it as it is functional and works ok, but it is ultimately your decision.

thank you for your opinion dant I will leave it as it is.

Search engine traffic. no problem. When this site was upbefore I took it down 3 years ago, it always rank in the top of the yahoo searches. to this day I still get hundreds of visitors daily, despite the length of time it was out of commission. many people still ink to me. I always get requests for advertisers, I just dont want to do it till its up.

so i will just go with what I got. I think did Ok. and I am going with the mentality of people are getting faster internet everday too. Thank you
