Does anyone know if it is possible to accomplish something like this using a .htaccess file?

Ok, first off I am trying to install a shopping cart script that has been encoded via Ioncube. Now the company doesn't allow me to run it from a local machine address: localhost or 127.0.0.1 even when it's paid for. They only gave me the source, which still doesn't allow localhost access.

My question is this: Can it be allowed to be installed via an .htaccess file on a localhost (machine ip)? Anyone have a solution to this, besides having to purchase another domain, just for testing purposes?

give your machine a DNS name in the hosts file or if you are on a network set up a local DNS server.
