Hi.

Me and a few guys are deciding to start up an open source coding team. We are predominantly programmers in java and c++ and are looking to develop some simple tools that ordinary people can use.

Our first idea is to create a GUI to aid with language learning - this will have spelling tests, fill in the gaps and much more. To save me typing it out again I have drawn up requirements for the project in this thread.

Take a look and see what you think, if anyone is interested in getting invloved then contact me. All programs developed will be open source and modifiable by anyone who wishes.

Cheers
Sco

What you should do is first invest the time/money in getting something worthwhile that other people would like to use. One you reach that point, you should be able to start to interest other developers as well as be able to ask for donations and get them. This has been my strategy on www.phplinkdirectory.com and it is working so far.
