On the net are solutions(ex.picosearc.com) regarding the hosted Search Engine option for a web site.
But I have a CD presentation(with a directory containing html's ang jpg's) so and I need a "non" hosted version! A trully search engine on CD! Is it possible to obtain it from You? Or may be you have some sample sites?

To place a "search engine" on CD would require different technology than a hosted version.

I would recomend using Macromedia Director with BuddyAPI or FileXtra to tap into the file system, index the content then spit the results out to a user interface. This would allow the most control over design and functionality.

If you are looking for a out of the box solution, you can look into SearchMakerPro.

There are a lot of softwares too that can help build an index and let you have a search engines. They are paid though. NO free alternative availeble. Let me know if you are interested. and I will find and post details about them.....
