Alright, lets take this map that I recently made:

<IMG NAME="humor_nav0" SRC="http://www.liquid-thought.com/images/humor_nav.bmp" WIDTH="122" HEIGHT="362" BORDER="0" USEMAP="#humor_nav">

<MAP NAME="humor_nav">
<AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="1,1,122,31" HREF="http://humor.liquid-thought.com/animal/index.html" TARGET="_self" ALT="Animal Jokes">
<AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="2,35,122,64" HREF="http://humor.liquid-thought.com/bar/index.html" TARGET="_self" ALT="Bar Jokes">
<AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="2,68,122,98" HREF="http://humor.liquid-thought.com/blonde/index.html" TARGET="_self" ALT="Blonde Jokes">
<AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="1,101,122,130" HREF="http://humor.liquid-thought.com/pc/index.html" TARGET="_self" ALT="Computer Jokes">
<AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="2,134,122,163" HREF="http://humor.liquid-thought.com/pic/index.html" TARGET="_self" ALT="Funny Pictures">
<AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="2,167,122,196" HREF="http://humor.liquid-thought.com/med/index.html" TARGET="_self" ALT="Medical Jokes">
<AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="2,200,122,229" HREF="http://humor.liquid-thought.com/mw/index.html" TARGET="_self" ALT="Men/Women Jokes">
<AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="2,233,122,262" HREF="http://humor.liquid-thought.com/other/index.html" TARGET="_self" ALT="Other Jokes">
<AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="2,266,122,295" HREF="http://humor.liquid-thought.com/real/index.html" TARGET="_self" ALT="Real Stuff">
<AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="2,299,122,328" HREF="http://humor.liquid-thought.com/rn/index.html" TARGET="_self" ALT="Redneck Jokes">
<AREA SHAPE="rect" COORDS="2,332,122,361" HREF="http://humor.liquid-thought.com/sport/index.html" TARGET="_self" ALT="Sport Jokes">
</MAP>

I've put that in an 18% frame. How would I change it to open the links in the 82% part? Also, would I be able to do this with just that one map, or would I have to make multiple copies, each one different, in order for it to work?

Change TARGET="_self" to TARGET="framename"

Where framename is the name of the 82% frame on your index.html page.

Okay, thanks! And I don't need to do, like TARGET="_right" (with an underscore)

And also, lets say that I have a link in the frame that links to another page with a frame. How can I make it so that the link correctly loads the new page/frame?

Link it to the main frame page (of that second frames page), and make sure the target is still set to: rightframename. Then any pages in that second frameset need to have the targets set to whatever names are in that second frameset. If you didn't name your frame with the (_) underscore on your index page, don't put that in your target. if it's <frame src="page.html" name="right"> in your nav page, make sure you to tartet="right".

Is that confusing enough for you.

OH, and don't name anything the same thing. Even if you have 2 different pages with 2 different framesets. Browsers will get confused!

So, for humor, do humornav for a name, and humormain for a name. Then for riddles, do riddlenav and riddlemain?

Okay...waitaminnit. You have a nav frame and a main frame. Do you want to load 2 totally different nav and main frames over your current frames? i.e. click on the humor link and it loads a new nav frame and a new main frame?

Yeah, like, say on the main page, I've got a nav bar with links to Humor, Riddles, Contact, and Forums. Then i've got an introduction page. If they click, say, the Humor link in the frame, it loads a new nav bar and a new intro page.

Ooooookkkkaaayy. Now I'm following you. Originally, I thought you wanted to load another frameset within the main (right) frame.

Well, you can load a whole new frameset (humor.html, humornav.html, humormain.html) completely over the top of your current frames. Just point your link to humor.html and use TARGET="_top".

Or...you can use javascript.
