I have a problem, i've just launched my site and i wanted to put subdomains in the url for example http://wallpapers.site.com instead of www.site.com/wallpapers.
My host godaddy supports adding subdomains but when i go to wallpapers.site.com it goes to the index.
I've tried to put a index file in the map wallpaper but it still redirects to the index

How long has your subdomain been up for?

If you just set it up a little while ago, you should expect it to continue doing this for a while.

I don't know a whole lot about this subject, but when you create a subdomain, it has to update with all the servers and stuff, or something like that.

Don't worry, though, this is something that all subdomains do when they are created. After 24 hours or so, it should be working properly. If not, try clearing your cache.

Not sure which control panel godaddy uses.

The following works withcPanel.

Did you go to your control panel and create the subdomain?

Normal procedure is to create the directory where the information is stored.
Then create the subdomain.
Then point the subdomain to the directory.
Of course if you want to see anything there has to be something in the directory you created.

If you have done all that it should be visble almost immediately
