Hi, I've been working on a new design for my website, gNat1134's Subprofile. Here is what I want the new design to look like: http://gnat1134.tripod.com/images/sunpage.jpg.

I usually use Netscape 7.0 while working on my site and have the new design of the index page working flawlessly on it. But I am running into problems with Internet Explorer 6.0 and Mozilla 5.0 and have not yet gotten around to testing older browsers or Opera.

With Mozilla the roll overs don't work but that is only a minor flaw since the basic appearance of the page still renders the same.

Internet Explorer on the other hand complete messes up the layout and I can't figure out why for the life of me.

If anyone can help me figure this out it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
- Nat

Your code shows this:

Code:
<div class="midhr">
  <div class="midhr">Welcome to the greatest site in the Universe!</div>
  </div>
which doesn't look right to me.

Yep! You are right on that. It should be:
Code:
<div class="midhr">
  <div>Welcome to the greatest site in the Universe!</div>
</div>
There is also another instance of this for:
Code:
<DIV class=leftsd>
    <DIV class=leftsd></DIV>
</DIV>
You need to remove the inner div class attribute from it as well. There may be more instances in the code, but I did not check for them.

Of course, when you do this....I have no clue as to what it will look like in Netscape. But you will be 85% viewable to the Internet public if you do.

I use Photoshop Elements myself. It is cheap and does what I need it do pretty effectively.

Your graphics look really nice Gnat....except for those two girls on one of your picture pages (last pic in the set). You should use Photoshops tools to get rid of the Red Eye
