How much would it cost for a programmer to create a custom shopping cart script that works perfectly with the way my site is built and the features i need. i've been using osCommerce but i'm having certain problems that are hard to solve.

Could i get a quote from someone or a recomendation

A custom made catalogue/cart script could turn out to be very expensive depending on the kind of features you need. Cheaper and quicker to hire someone to customise an existing system.
Are you looking to stay with a PHP script or moving to ASP or (heaven forbid) a .NET package.

Yeh chrishirst is right, would be alot cheaper to hire someone to customize your current cart.

Unless you have oodles of money to spend!

been looking at some of the "offerings" around for applications built in .net.

SE Friendly? Not a chance. and all seem far more resource heavy and slower than the ASP equivalent.

Ah right.

Well most .NET shopping carts now are built with the 1.1 Framework, but wait till you see some built with the 2.0 Framework lol.....then you'll change your mind :P
