Good evening! I'm not very sure that this is the correct subforum to post this, but I hope you can help me!

I'm searching for a software or already existing website script (like a CMS, Invisionboard, or a Wiki) with which I might be able to easily do the following:

Users/Members subscribed to this website/forum are able to do comments to other users. But these comments can be viewed, deleted and modified ONLY by the user who wrote it and the user to whom he wrote it.

I tried to do this with a Forum programme (Invisionboard) but without success. Anyway, I need some very simple software, since the users will be even more ignorant than me on IT skills.

Anyway, an Example of what I meant:

Mickey and Goofy each write a comment to Donald.
Mickey and Goofy can also edit or delete their comment to Donald.
But Mickey can't read Goofy's comment to Donald, and Goofy can't read Mickey's comment to Donald.
Only Donald (and the administrator) can read both comments written to him, and Donald can also delete Mickey's comment to him if he doesn't like it.

This board (vBulletin) does have the capabilities for something similar, where only the admins and mods can see all threads, and the OPs can only see their own threads and replies. It shouldn't take much of a mod to extend the functionality to what you need. (He says, not knowing vBulletin at all)

The admins here will be able to shed more light on the subject though.

Any forum should be able to be modded up to handle your requirement, just some would take more than others

While vB does offer more permissions then IPB does:

It still won't do what you want right out of the box.

I know the vB system very very well, and I can confirm Chris when he says it shouldn't be hard to add the functionality you need. You can hire a programmer, or ask on the official vBulletin mod site vBorg. (I could even do it </plug> )
