I have Mp3's for download and I need them to download with a single click. Not a right click and a save as. If anyone know how to keep it from streaming, that info would be awesome. I have done some google searches but I can't understand barely any of that stuff. thanks,

You could put the MP3 file into a .zip or .rar file so when clicking on the link it downloads straight away

I don't want to zip these. Winzip sucks and is too hard to use. I like Aladin soft's stuff but its too hard to get. (with all the registering and emailing and nagware type stuff) and I think I will have mostly Windows users . And its MP3's. I think people will wanna download em' and play em. not download then unzip, then get iTunes...

There are many other zip or compression programs other than winzip. Many of them will just allow you to drag and drop your files into the archive. Do a search for zip applications and you will have a variety to choose from! I don't really understand why you want to force people to download a file. That is not something that I as a surfer or a webmaster feel comfortable with. A viewing individual should always have the initiative, in my opinion.

would it work if you link to the file with ftp so like instead of linking http://site.com/music.mp3 (which with stream depending on the browser...) u link to ftp://site.com/music.mp3 then because its ftp not http it should download not play.

Becasue after all the ftp (file transfer protocal) was designed to do what it says simple TRANSFER files...
