I need help to test a theory I have about a possible scenario when hotlinking can occur depending on software setup despite supposed protection using .htaccess.
Ideally, I was hoping that someone can set me up with FTP access to a tiny web account (no fills, vanilla hosting no more than 1mb needed) on a server running Apache and mod_rewrite. I will need to build at least two directories in the folder, in which I will put a few images and a .htaccess file in each. The account can be scrapped once I've proved or disproved my theory, directy FTP access to the "donated" folder is preferable to speed up the testing.
Failing that, if someone would be willing to set things up for me, then it would also help... just make things a little slower.
I know there is probably a free host out there offering what I need, but I don't want to waste time finding one just to get emails from a mailing list I don't really want to subscribe to - all for the sake of using an Apache server running mod_rewrite for a day or two.
So, would anyone be willing to donate an FTP account for testing?
