Is there a way to test the functioning of code placed within the NOFRAMES tag, short of installing an ancient browser?

With IE 5.5 and Mozilla there doesn't appear to be a way to disable frames.

Also, I have read that search engines look up what is in the NOFRAMES tag when they encounter a frameset. If this is so, then it it would refute one of the principal arguments against using frames: if all you do is put some pertinent information within the NOFRAMES tag and redirect the bot with one or more links. How reliable is this?

TIA

Hi tabloid,

To tell you the truth, the best solution is to avoid frames altogether.

I'm not knowledgeable in frames myself, but perhaps someone else here can help you out.
